In Hyderabad, a 25-year-old man has been arrested by the police in alleged sexual harassment case. The accused sent inappropriate message to the woman and threatened to leak her pictures, as per reports.
According to reports, the man posing as a CID official was sexually harassing a woman over the phone. The police reportedly approached the woman and filed a complaint after the incident came to light.
Fake CID Official Sexually Harasses Women:
The woman, in her complaint, said that she had been receiving WhatsApp messages and video calls from an unknown phone number, which belong to the accused arrested in the case, as per the police. The woman also alleged that the man used to send her obscene videos and images.
Using his fake identity to pressurise woman, the accused allegedly asked the woman make a nude video calls to him. He also threatened to leak her morphed pictures online if she refused to do as he said. The woman after refusing his demands blocked his number but she continued to get calls from other unknown numbers.
Based on her police complaint, the police arrested the man on November 15, according to reports. While questing the accused in the matter, the police reportedly found out that the man is addicted to pornographic videos and he allegedly targeted several woman like the complainant. He use to make friends with them on social media and then used to harass them later.

The Villupuram Chief Judicial Magistrate court on August 9 gave a bail order to release a former Director-General Police officer who was accused of sexual harassment by a female officer earlier this year.
Former Superintendent of Police Kannan IPS was also granted bail by the court. Kannan had also been accused in the case as the complainant woman had claimed that he allegedly intimidated her against filing a complaint.
The hearing of the sexual harassment place took place on August 9 after the Madras High Court directed it. The high court had ruled the Villupuram Chief Judicial Magistrate to conclude the case before December 20. As per reports, the Crime Branch-CID had filed a 400 pages long chargesheet with the Villupuram court on July 29.
