27-year-old Priyal Yadav hails from a rural area. Her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker. In an interview with a media portal, Yadav said, "I hail from a rural area where girls marry young, but my parents did not pressure me to get married and gave me complete freedom to pursue my studies.

Setback in Class 11

However, Yadav came across a big setback when she failed in Class 11. Yadav remained a class topper till Class 10. However, in Class 11, her consistency broke when she opted for Maths, Chemistry and Physics under the pressure of relatives. She had no interest in these subjects. In the interview, Yadav revealed, "I was a class topper till Class 10. However, due to pressure from relatives, I opted for physics, chemistry, and mathematics in Class 11 despite a lack of interest in these subjects and failed physics."

However, she also added that this was her "first and last failure" in the field of academics. This is very well manifested in her success in MPPSC whose result was declared on Thursday. However, the journey till here was not easy. It was full of determination and patience throughout the multiple attempts.

Multiple attempts at MPPSC exams

Yadav's first attempt was in 2019 when she secured 19th rank. She was selected for the district registrar post. She reappeared for the MPPSC exam in 2020 and secured 34th rank with the position of assistant commissioner in the Cooperative Department.

Her thirst for success was not quenched. So she appeared for the exam yet again in 2021 while being posted as district registrar in Indore. Securing sixth rank, Yadav came closer to her success. She got selected as deputy collector. She was one of the top ten candidates who were selected for the deputy collector post.

Eyeing for UPSC exams

The country is hailing Yadav's success and her inspirational journey. However, Yadav is not ready to settle yet. She is eyeing on Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams. Yadav said that she wants to prepare for UPSC exams while working as a deputy collector in the state.

Winston Churchill's quote on failure suits well to Priya Yadav's life. He says, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
