The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly named five women actors with links to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar whose case they are currently probing. Actors Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez are already under the scanner for allegedly receiving gifts from Chandrashekhar, bought from criminal proceeds. Both are being quizzed by the ED on the matter.
The five actors, besides Fatehi and Fernandez, who have been in alleged contact with Chandrashekhar are expected to be summoned by the ED in the near future. They will serve as witnesses in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case, India Today reports.

Chandrashekhar and his wife, actor Leena Maria Paul who was seen in Shoojit Sircar's Madras Cafe, were arrested earlier this year in the extortion case. Chandrashekhar conned a Fortis businessman's wife, promising his release from prison in a different fraud case, for a hefty cash amount.
With the extorted money, Chandrashekhar allegedly linked ties with prominent Bollywood actors like Fatehi and Fernandez, with the latter receiving gifts to the tune of ten crore rupees, which includes luxury items from high-end brands Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Read more here.

Both Fernandez and Fatehi in their statements to the ED have said they were unaware of Chandrashekhar's true identity when they established contact with him. Both have expressed that the central agency is free to seize the objects received as gifts from Chandrashekhar from criminal activities. Reports suggest the ED will attach the gifts and recover the money.
A photo of the conman and Fernandez is doing rounds on social media, which shows the duo standing before a mirror, and was clicked in the period that Chandrashekhar was out on interim bail this year.
