Emma Watson Leaves Free Books On Subway

After Donald Trump won the US Presidential election yesterday, Emma Watson tweeted that her first step would be to deliver Maya Angelou books to the New York subway, and then fight harder than ever for the things she believes in.

Today I am going to deliver Maya Angelou books to the New York subway. Then I am going to fight even harder for all the things I believe in.

Watson, who was made UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador in July, has been leaving copies of Maya Angelou’s Mom and me and Mom throughout the London Tube station. The book is the pick of the month for her feminist book club, 'Our Shared Shelf'. Watson is the face of the global HeforShe Initiative and travels around the world promoting women's rights. She says that America is her second home.
