Elon Musk's Father, 76, Confirms Having 'Secret Child' With His Stepdaughter

Elon Musk's father Errol Musk has admitted to having a “secret” second child with his 35-year-old stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout. The Musk patriarch, 76, welcomed the baby girl with Jana, back in 2019 — but only confirmed the news on Wednesday, in an interview: “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce.”

Errol and Bezuidenhout previously welcomed a son in 2019, Elliot Rush, who is now five years old. Errol, who is an engineer in South Africa, added that the second baby was unplanned.

"The baby was not planned. But I mean, we were living together. She (Bezuidenhout) stayed here for about 18 months after Rushi was born," Errol was quoted as saying. He, now, has a total of seven children including Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Jana Bezuidenhout is the daughter of Errol Musk's second wife Heide Bezuidenhout, whom he married after splitting with Elon Musk's mother Maye Haldeman Musk in 1979. From this marriage, he has three children - Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca.

Errol and Heide were married for 18 years. They have two children together.

Errol does admit his other daughters were "shocked" by his relationship with Bezuidenhout because "to them, it was their sister".

"And they still don't like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she's their sister. Their half-sister," he added.

The news comes after it was revealed that Elon Musk secretly became a father of twins with a top executive of his company Neuralink became public. "Doing my best to help underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilisation faces by far," Elon had tweeted in what appears as a confirmation of the news of his newborn twins.

Shivon Zilis, a top executive at his brain-chip startup Neuralink, started working at the company in May 2017, the same month she was named a project director in artificial intelligence at Tesla, where she worked until 2019.

In April, Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change the name of the twins to "have their father's last name" and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name, a report said, citing court documents.

Earlier, Errol joked about his son Elon's number of kids mentioning that he finds it hard to "keep track" of his grandchildren.
