Sonu Sood is in the news yet again, for helping out those who are need of aid and compassion. When last week, a Twitter user named Vikas Dixit tagged the Bollywood actor and urged him to help out a couple of elderly women located in "20 villages in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra which is in the middle of Naxal affected areas", Sood did not hesitate and promised to send them winter clothes. According to Dixit, in Uttar Pradesh, "many elderly women have been facing severe cold weather every year with the hope that an angel will come to help them. Now the last hope of these women is you."
In response, Sood tweeted back, "Now no one will suffer from cold in all 20 villages," assuring that "Provisions for winter will reach you soon."

In September this year, Sood launched a scholarship in the name of his late mother Saroj Sood. The actor said that the struggle of underprivileged people who faced problems to pay for their children’s education during the pandemic had moved him. "While some did not have phones to attend online classes, others did not have money to pay the fees." Pledging to support complete college education for students in need, Sood further wrote in his post, "I believe, financial challenges should not stop any one from reaching their full potential."
