There’s nothing more empowering than being a single parent. Balaji Telefilms' Ekta Kapoor turned mother on 27 January, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror. The film and television producer welcomed her son who was born via surrogacy. Ekta will bring him home soon.
Following the footsteps of her brother Tusshar Kapoor, who also donned the hat of fatherhood three years back via surrogacy, Ekta has also opted for the same path to embrace motherhood.

Forty-three-year-old Ekta is the daughter of veteran actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor. Tusshar had welcomed a baby boy on June 1, 2017, who was named by Ekta as Laksshya. She, on the other hand, is the country’s most successful television producer.
Accordion to reports, Ekta's baby is healthy and will be home soon. Tusshar and Ekta were never married, and have taken over the family heirloom graciously.
Ekta's most recent Bollywood films were Veere Di Wedding starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Laila Majnu.
After becoming father, Tusshar Kapoor had said. “Everybody in the country has been very accepting. That was a bit surprise for me because I thought there would be diverse views, some kind of ‘oohs and ahas’ about it, all kinds of opinion. But nothing of that sort happened. Especially the media has been so supportive of Laksshya and my choice of having a family in this manner.”
