Captain Shiva Chauhan Becomes First Woman Officer Deployed On Siachen Glacier
Captain Shiva Chauhan became the first woman army officer to be operationally deployed on the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battlefield.
Captain Chauhan was deployed at the Kumar post, Siachen, located at an altitude of around 15,600 feet on Monday, January 2, for a period of three months.
The team led by Captain Chouhan will be responsible for combat engineering tasks.
