The NCB informed the court that they found incriminating material against the trio in form of WhatsApp chats. The chats allegedly showed a "nexus with peddlers and suppliers on regular basis." Aryan and the other two persons have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The charges are related to the consumption and possession of illegal substances.
Aryan Khan's lawyer reportedly argued in court that Khan was not associated with the organisers of the event on the cruise ship and was just a guest. He also claimed that no contraband was found on Aryan. On the direction of the judge, he settled for Aryan Khan to stay in one-day police custody for the sake of investigation. The counsel for NCB, Advait Sethna also agreed that the offences against Khan and others are bailable. He added, "People may have their own status but the law and yardsticks should be applicable for everyone and we should not be accused of pick and choose."
During the raid of Saturday night, the NCB reportedly recovered five grams of mephedrone, 13 grams of cocaine, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) among other illegal substances.
