Hip hop star Drake stopped his performance in Sydney on Wednesday (Nov 15) to tell a man in the audience to stop groping women in the crowd.

A video showing him doing this was taken by another fan. Drake was playing at Sydney’s Marquee nightclub, when he suddenly stopped. He addressed the member of the audience saying, “If you don’t stop touching girls, I’m going to come out there and fuck you up. If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m going to come out there and fuck your ass up.”

The rapper pointed at the male fan and then repeated himself for emphasis.“If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m gonna come out there and f–k your ass up," he said, pointing at the fan. Then security reportedly looked through the crowd with flashlights, looking for the fan.

Drake is on his 'Boy Meets World Tour', and continues to Melbourne next week to conclude his tour.

He is yet another musician who has called out sexual harassment at gigs. Last month, UK rapper Loyle Carner told an audience member to leave his show after he made a sexist comment. Sam Carter also reprimanded a man who was groping a woman at a festival in the Netherlands.

Of course fans have loved Drake's move and social media has lauded his actions. Here are a few reactions from his enthusiastic fans:

Kudos to Drake for calling out a case of sexual harassment. Concerts have become a hotspot for sexual harassment. The next time you are at a concert, and you see any sort of unwarranted behaviour, it is time to speak up about it.
