Women's safety in India is taken lightly- this generalised statement is too much, right? The increasing crime against women in India backs the statement well. Now with a data breach, it is much easier to put women's safety in trouble. This is what happened with a Twitter user who ordered a pizza online. With pizza delivery, she also received a proposal from the delivery man over a message, and that's concerning.
The Twitter user identified as Kanishka Dadhich raised concern over the customer’s contact information being misused. Sharing a few WhatsApp Chat screenshots, she brought to light how a delivery executive associated with Domino’s chain in Uttar Pradesh confessed his feelings for her. Dadhich claimed that a delivery guy identified as Kabir texted her and confessed his love. However, this interaction made her feel unsafe and worried about her details, including her phone number, home address, and email id being misused.
Delivery Guy Proposes Customer
The chat screenshot read- “Sorry, my name is Kabir, yesterday I came to give you pizza, I am the same, I liked you." She captioned the Twitter thread-
Yesterday, I ordered pizzas from @dominos. The delivery guy named Kabir called me & asked me the location, I politely told him to come at this location. He dropped the pizzas at my home. Then at 11:37 pm, he messaged me directly! To which I replied him on Friday morning (today).
I want to ask if this is ethical to send a delivery guy so that he could get anyone’s number and address. Even if he liked me, this is not the way to confess. It means he has misused the number given to the company for delivery purposes.

Kanishka also reported the issue to Domino’s, but received an unsatisfactory response. She also disclosed Domino’s refusal to share information about their delivery executive. Hence UP police intervened. For now, the police officials assured her of taking appropriate action. She also uttered of approaching to consume court.
