Disha Ravi Mother: Disha Ravi’s bail verdict was a relief for her mother, Manjula Nanjaiah, who was patiently waiting for her daughter to return home. “I am waiting to hug her once she comes back home," she said after her daughter was granted bail by a Delhi court in the toolkit case on Tuesday evening.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Nanjaiah from Bengaluru said, “This was difficult for anyone but when our children have not done anything wrong, why do we need to fear? We have to stand beside our children when they are fighting for truth and justice."

Ravi was granted bail by the Patiala House Court on Tuesday, February 23. The court has directed the 22-year-old from Bengaluru to pay a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh. She has been released from Delhi's Tihar jail, reported ANI, quoting a jail official.

Disha Ravi’s Mother opens up after the bail

Ravi had been sent to three days of judicial custody in connection to the “Toolkit case” after being charged with conspiracy and sedition. She spent ten days in police custody since February 13. On Tuesday, she walked out of Delhi’s Tihar jail but as the investigations are still ongoing, the court has directed that she "shall not leave the country" without the court’s permission.

Commenting on the same, Nanjaiah expressed, “I would like to thank everyone, especially the legal team, who was with her, helping her. I have confidence in our judiciary system. Since our daughter had not done anything wrong, we were confident of her getting bail." She is a homemaker who stays with her daughter in Bengaluru city. Ravi's father, Ravi Annappa, is an athletics coach, who is based in Mysuru.
