Disha Ravi bail verdict: Disha Ravi's bail verdict has made her mother take a sigh of relief. "I am relieved.. am very happy. I believe in India's legal system.. there is value to truth in India," she said, tearing up.
The 22-year-old climate activist was arrested by the Delhi police on February 13 for making and circulating a 'toolkit' in order to help the protesting farmers. She was charged for aligning with pro-Khalistani groups, and inciting the 26th January violence.

A Delhi court granted Ravi bail, by acknowledging her right to freedom and expression. "Even our founding fathers accorded due respect to divergence of opinion by recognising the freedom of speech and expression as an inviolable fundamental right. The right to dissent is firmly enshrined under Article 19 of The Constitution of India," said Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana.
He also stated that he there was "scanty and sketchy evidence on record" regarding the case against her.
After knowing about Disha Ravi's bail verdict, her mother said that her daughter was very 'strong and bold' and that she became a strong mother too. "My message to other parents - we should stand by our children (and) in such difficult times we should be strong for them," Ms Ravi's mother said.
Earlier, Disha Ravi had told that she only intended to support the farmers, and that she had barely edited two lines of the toolkit document, and never created it.
According to bail terms, Disha Ravi will have to co-operate with the investigation and would have to take the court's permission to leave the country.
