The Haryana State Government on June 6 declared that physically disabled women government employees will get a monthly child care allowance of Rs 1,500.
The employees will also get conveyance allowance. The conveyance allowance will be provided at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay. Pay is subjected to minimum Rs 2,500 and maximum Rs 7,200 per month along with dearness allowance (DA).
A state government spokesperson said, “For the first time in Haryana’s history, female government employees with disabilities would get a special monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 for child care."
He added, "Similarly, the convenience allowance to handicapped employees would be allowed at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay subject to minimum Rs 2,500 and maximum Rs 7,200 per month plus Dearness Allowance (D.A.).”

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved all these allowances.
The state government has also enhanced the children's education allowance. The government has raised it from the existing Rs 750 per month to Rs 1,125 per month.
The government has also increased the amount of fixed medical allowances. Now, the employees will get Rs 1,000 per month, instead of Rs. 500 earlier.
The non-practising allowance (NPA) of doctors has been revised at the rate of 20 per cent of revised basic pay.

The spokesperson said the CM had announced that these allowances of the state government employees were being revised on the pattern of 7th Central Pay Commission. He had announced to revise these allowances during the state-level function on Civil Services Day in Panchkula on April 21.
Last year, the central government doubled the child care allowance from Rs. 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per month for women employees with disabilities.
