Digha Woman fake Account: The police of Rabale MIDC, near Mumbai, have registered a case against some unidentified people for allegedly opening fake account of 32-year-old woman.
As per reports, the woman is a homemaker and lives with her son and husband in Digha. The said fake account uploaded her pictures and videos without her consent, the police said. As per the complaint filed with the police, the woman got know about the fake account when a friend told her about it. The fake account in her name reportedly had many pictures and personal videos of her. The police officers have not been able to identify the accused in the case.
A police officer from Rabale MIDC police station said, "It is still not clear exactly who opened the bogus account and how he procured the photos and videos. We have registered a case against the unidentified accused under Sections 43 and 66 (C) of the IT Act.”

Another case was reported wherein a man was arrested in Faridabad for allegedly making fake profiles of a minor girl and sending her inappropriate messages online. The man had also uploaded morphed nude pictures of the minor, the police said.
As per the police officials, the accused was trying to take revenge from a Class 8 student after being told off by for harassing her friend. The accused was identified as Bharat Khatar. He had met the girl's friend on social media and that is how the two interacted.
