Dia Mirza Baby Boy is born. The actor and husband Vaibhav Rekhi on Wednesday announced the arrival of their first child together, a baby boy. The couple have named their son Avyaan. Sharing details about her pregnancy, the complications, Mirza wrote on Instagram, "Our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the neonatal care." She also shared a picture of the baby’s hand.

In a note shared on her social media accounts, Mirza revealed that a sudden appendectomy during her pregnancy, followed by a bacterial infection led to Mirza's emergency C-section. The actor and family kept the news under wraps because the baby was born prematurely. baby Avyaan is currently gaining strength in a Neonatal intensive care unit (ICU).
She further said that with the birth of Avyaan, she and Vaibhav are learning the "true meaning of trusting the universe and of parenthood".
Mirza said her family would learn from her baby's resilience and courage. She thanked her supporters who continue to help them live this story of hope and faith and create a safe, healing, nurturing space for Avyaan and the new mother. "He will be home soon and his elder sister Samaira and grand parents are waiting to hold him in their arms," she noted.

"A subsequent and very severe bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life threatening," she shared but thankfully, the timely care and intervention by the doctor ensured the safe birth of the baby via an emergency C-section.
7. Mirza further thanked her well-wishers and fans saying, "I just want to say - your concern has always meant a lot to me and if it was possible to share this news before, we would have."

9. Mirza was previously married to filmmaker and producer Sahil Sangha; they divorced in 2019. This will be her first child. Rekhi has a daughter from a previous marriage.
