Delhi Schools Closed: The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has made the announcement that the schools will remain closed till further orders due to the rise in the Covid 19 cases of the area.
The schools in the national capital, Delhi are going to stay closed till further notice. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal made this announcement on Friday. This decision was taken in the wake of the rising number of Covid 19 cases in Delhi.

Delhi has seen a sudden surge in the number of the Covid 19 cases detected in the past few weeks. For the first time in 2021, the number of cases detected per day touched the figure of 7000 cases and crossed it this Thursday. Hence, the CM immediately took the necessary steps and made announcements for the safety of the people residing in Delhi.
The CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, tweeted the announcement on Friday. His tweet can be read as, "Due to rising cases of COVID-19, schools in Delhi will remain closed for all classes till further orders."
The Delhi government keeping the rising cases in mind had made the announcement regarding school children last week also. The government of Delhi had said that the school children cannot be called to the school for any classes for the new academic session.
With this being said, only the students who were going to give the board exams this year were going to visit the schools. The students of class 10 and class 12 were allowed to attend the school with a parent's consent letter.
The current condition of Delhi states that there were 7437 cases recorded on Thursday which was the highest of Delhi in 2021. The national capital witnessed the death of 24 individuals due to Covid in a single day. This number took the number of total deaths due to Covid to 11,157 in Delhi.
