Delhi Police Issues Non Bailable Warrant For Nikita Jacob In "Toolkit" Case

After the arrest of Disha Ravi, Delhi police  has issued a warrant against Nikita Jacob, a Bombay High Court lawyer.

Lawyer Nikita Jacob: In the latest, Delhi police has issued a warrant against a Bombay High Court lawyer Nikita Jacob. Jacob they said was involved in creating the toolkit shared by environmental activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter.

After the arrest of Disha Ravi, Delhi police  has issued a warrant against Nikita Jacob, a Bombay High Court lawyer. The police said she was involved in creating the toolkit that was shared by Greta Thunberg. As per reports the police is also looking for another activist named Shantanu. The ‘tool kit’ contained ways to support the protests with Indian farmers.  The charges faced by the lawyer and Shantanu are reported as non bailable.

The police has reported the lawyer is allegedly absconding the Bar And Bench reported. Jacob has moved the Bombay HC for interim protection against police action reported India Today. Further they reported that a Delhi Police Special Cell team went to search her home on February 11th, but since it was evening time they could not question her.

Nikita Jacob's LinkedIn profile mentions that she is a law graduate from the Indian Law Society College at Pune and had practiced with several law firms in Mumbai since then. Jacob is 30 years old. She has work experience of seven years. She has never been associated with any political party. Nikita's social media profiles currently stand blocked.

Earlier, the Delhi police arrested Ravi for questioning from her residence regarding the ‘toolkit’ to build momentum against India’s farmers protest. “If you go by the unfolding of events of January 26, it reveals a copycat execution of the action plan,” the Delhi Police had said as per a report. “The call was to wage economic, social, cultural and regional war against India,” Delhi Police Special Commissioner Praveer Ranjan had said.
