Delhi Police on Tuesday arrest a 30-year-old man who allegedly threatened and made derogatory remarks against Congress leader Alka Lamba.
The man had made inflammatory posts against Muslims on social media. He had been arrested earlier by the Ghaziabad police in a similar case and was out on bail. The accused man's posted a video from outside Dasna Devi temple in March which had gone viral on the internet.
The Deputy Commissioner of South Delhi Atul Kumar said, “We have arrested the man, Vikas Sehrawat alias Mallik Sehrawat. On Monday, Lamba filed a complaint over email against him. Lamba also tagged Delhi Police in a post on Twitter while attaching the video in which he is heard delivering a hate speech.”
क्या इस शख़्स पर किसी भी तरह की कोई क़ानूनी कार्यवाही होगी, इसकी उम्मीद रखें या नही ??

The accused man posted multiple videos in which he is seen passing derogatory remarks against Alka Lamba. In one video, the man openly challenged Lamba to circulate the video and see if anyone harms him. The DCP said that a team of police officials were able to locate the accused near the Bindapur police station. He was then taken in for interrogation.
After Sehrawat was arrested by the police, Lamba posted on Twitter, " six netaon sahit ye saksh bhi is waqt police ki girafat me hai. Jald bheja jaega jail....nahi milegi ab bail" ( along with six BJP members, this man is in police custody. Soon will be sent to jail, there won't be a bail this time.)
The man named Vikas Sehrawat calls himself a Hindu leader and nationalist. He had also threatened to kill journalist Ravish Tiwari and Aam Aadmi Party member of legislative assembly Amanatullah Khan.
A journalist Alishan Jafri posted a series of videos in which Sehrawat is seen making hate speeches against Alka Lamba and other politicians. Jafri claimed that one of the videos against Alka Lamba was posted by Sehrawat just a week after he was released from jail with the help of Yati Narshinghanand.
