The police added that they had to deploy personnel outside the mosque, as many people gathered outside, after the incident took place.
Minor girl raped inside a mosque in Rajasthan
In April this year, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped inside a mosque in Rajasthan. A maulvi named Zafru was booked by the Rajasthan police for his criminal act.
On the night of April 1, the maulvi took the girl to the mosque and raped her. He then threw her body into a well, as soon as her family came out to look for her. He then escaped from the spot, but was subsequently, arrested by the police from the Gaondi village of Bharatpur.
The girl was rescued from the well by some people and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police registered an FIR against him, under appropriate sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.
