The footage gained attention after it was discovered that the women featured in the video were recreating a dance sequence from the 2013 film Ramleela, performing the song Ang Laga De Re.

In response to the video, the Delhi Metro issued a statement emphasising the importance of passengers promptly reporting such incidents when witnessed. The controversy surrounding the video has raised questions about appropriate behaviour and decorum in public spaces like the metro.

The video was shared on social media by the X (formerly Twitter) handle with a caption that posed a provocative question: "Should Delhi Metro be closed now, or is it a place for entertainment?" This caption further fueled debate and concern over maintaining standards of public behaviour on public transportation systems.

PDA Videos in Delhi Metro
