  • Post interrogation of Pawar, it has been found that Naz had been pressuring Pawar for marriage and fulfilment which seemed difficult on Pawar's end owing to Naz's religion. Pawar's family did not approve of the interfaith union.
  • Apparently, both Naz and Pawar had been fighting over this for a while in their relationship.
  • On April 12, Pawar decided to murder Naz for these religious differences as conveyed by Deputy Commissioner Joy Tirkey.
  • When investigations began for Naz's murder, both Pawar and his murder accomplice were untraceable until Friday.
  • On April 12, 2023, Naz's body was found by the police and an autopsy confirmed that she had been strangled to death. Following this result, a probe was carried out and the CCTV footage around the area was checked for information.
  • In the CCTV they find two men riding a bike with a woman seated between them. The bike seemed to stop at Farsh Bazar in East Delhi. CCTV footage revealed that a man was shouldering a woman's body while another woman was walking behind him.
  • Pawar and his sister Chaudhary were then identified. Chaudhary had escaped with her children by the time the police arrived on the spot.
  • CCTVs were again scanned to trace Chaudhary's location. The search led them to a house in Kanti Nagar in East Delhi where Chaudhary was eventually arrested.
  • Chaudhary's interrogation revealed that the brother-sister duo had planned to sell Naz off. Naz had gotten to know about this which led to her being murdered by the duo.
