Virat Kohli daughter rape threats: The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Tuesday took cognisance of alleged rape threats sent on Twitter to Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli's nine-month-old daughter after his team lost to Pakistan in a T20 match last month. Calling the incident "shameful," DCW head Swati Maliwal demanded the accused be arrested and the commission be intimated of the action taken by November 11.
The notice was issued to the cyber crime branch of the Delhi Police. It further notes that the attacks against Kohli's daughter Vamika come following the skipper's defence of teammate Mohammed Shami after the latter was reportedly abused on the basis of his religion post the T20 loss on October 24.

Virat Kohli Daughter Rape Threats: What We Know So Far
As per reports, a tweet from one @Criccrazyygirl account on Twitter appeared to have sent a threatening message for Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma's daughter on October 30. Screenshots of the tweet soon went viral on social media, sparking outrage among netizens. As of November 2, the account in question doesn't exist on Twitter.
Many alleged the account from which the tweet was sent originated from Pakistan, however, reports have indicated there is no conclusive proof for the same.
This is not the first instance of a child facing abuse in India after their father failed to perform well on the pitch. Trolls swooped down on MS Dhoni's daughter Ziva after his Chennai Super Kings lost a match to Kolkata Knight Riders last year during the Indian Premier League (IPL). The toddler was issued rape threats, for which a teen boy from Gujarat was apprehended. He confessed to sending said messages on social media admitting the cricket match had left him upset.
