Delhi Teen Kills Father For Thrashing His Mother Under The Influence Of Alcohol

A 16-year-old boy killed his father for thrashing his mother. The boy has been arrested by the police for murder. The incident happened in the Rohini area of Delhi. The father used to beat his children and wife under the influence of alcohol 

As per the reports, the police received a call on August 25 at 10:58 am regarding the murder of a man in Aman Vigar of Rohini in Delhi. They reached the spot and immediately rushed the man to the hospital. The boy had hit the man's head with a plastic pipe. A police officer said, “He was immediately shifted to hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors."

What happened on the day of the incident?

The police told the media that the incident happened at Ramesh Enclave around 11 am on August 25. The officer also said that the 55-year-old deceased man who was a labourer used to beat his children and wife under the influence of alcohol. 

Similarly, on the morning of August 25, the man was thrashing his wife after a heated quarrel. The 16-year-old son intervened to protect his mother. He hit the man with a plastic pipe on the head. 

Charges on the boy accused of murdering his father

However, the boy has been apprehended by the police officers at Aman Vigar Police Station. The officer said, “The minor was apprehended from near his residence. Further investigation is underway." The 16-year-old has been charged 103(1) (punishment for murder) and 3(4) (common intention) of BNS.

Another case of domestic violence leading to brutality

Cases of domestic violence are seeing no decrease. A 36-year-old man, Shyam G Chandran, set his estranged wife on fire on the morning of February 19 on a public road in Cherthala. The wife, 30-year-old Aarthi, was taken to the hospital but by the evening, she succumbed to her injuries. Last year, Aarthi had registered a complaint of domestic violence against her husband and alleged that he used to threaten her. Shyam was arrested earlier this year but was later released.
