UP Warriorz vice-captain and India's amazing all-rounder Deepti Sharma stunned the audience with an amazing run-out. She gave it to Mumbai Indians batter Alyssa Healy. The strike amazed everyone watching the match and reminded the potential of Indian female cricketers.
No matter how underestimated women's cricket is and how less attention it gets as compared to men's cricket, Indian female cricketers will still slay on and off the field with their amazing talent. India has got some incredible female cricketers in the national team, state teams, and U-19 team that are smashing it with their great serves and sweeps and a recent example of this was Deepti Sharma's thrilling fielding skills witnessed in a WPL match between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz.

Deepti Sharma Runs Out Issy Wong
The WPL match was held on March 18 in Navi Mumbai's Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy and during the last over, English player Issy Wong was on the strike and proceeded for a run. She wanted to go for another one but the non-striker Jintimani Kalita was skeptical but they went for it anyways. Sharma was on the non-striker side and had the ball in her hand while Kalita had not reached the end yet. However, instead of going for the easier non-striker end, Sharma smashed the ball toward the striker end.
As risky as the shot was, the ball hit straight into the stumps giving a run out to Issy Wong who has been going strong with 32 runs in 19 balls. The shot amazed everyone in and outside the stadium and people praised Deepti Sharma for her presence of mind and bowling skills. A Twitter user wrote, "That is a Deepti Sharma special. The easier run out was at her end, but she sends a rocket throw to the keeper's end when no one seemed to be expecting it (not Healy, not Wong evidently) and it's run out of the set batter."
Sharma took two wickets and helped in two others while making 13 runs on 14 balls in the second inning and became the Player of the Match as Mumbai Indians lost their first match in WPL 2023. However, this risky shot by the all-rounder will forever remain in history as one of the boldest and finest run-outs.
