Deepika Padukone will play the role of Romi Dev for the upcoming Film '83.' The first look of Deepika as Romi Dev is now out. Romi Dev is the wife of the former Indian Cricket Team Captain Kapil Dev. The poster featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh together as Romi Dev and Kapil Dev.
Deepika posted the look on Instagram and wrote, "To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honor. I've seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband's professional and personal aspirations in my mother and '83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband's dream before her own."
Ranveer Singh also posted the same look on his Instagram. He wrote "The wind beneath my wings. The heart of the hurricane."
