Dayaal Kaur, a four-year-old girl based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, has earned the nickname 'baby Einstein' after her Mensa test scores came in just below that of the famed physicist. She ranked at an impressive 142, reflecting merely an 18-point difference with Albert Einstein's estimated grade mark at 160.
Mensa is a society for persons with a high Intelligence Quotient (IQ), featuring brainy names like architect Buckminster Fuller, author Joyce Carol Oates, adventurer Lucy Irvine, actor Geena Davis and now little Kaur.
Growing up, Kaur exhibited multiple traits that would qualify her as a genius, her father speaking to Birmingham Live said. "I remember one day when Dayaal was around 13 months, I said the number ‘one’ and she replied with ‘two’ so I said ‘three’ and she said ‘four’ and this carried on all the way to 15!" By the age of two, he says, Kaur was asking questions whose answers only Google could tell them.
For their child who began 'chatting' even as she was in her nappies and for whom nursery school authorities said they didn't have provisions enough to match her thoughts, Sarbjit and Raj arranged for a Mensa test.
Baby Einstein Dayaal Kaur Is Full Of Wit And Brain
Kaur's results, recorded October 2020, showed she possessed abilities that matched a five-year-old's. Her test evaluators also gushed to the parents about how sociable, witty, down-to-earth and perceptive their daughter was.
"I've always talked to Dayaal in an adult way, not using baby talk," Sarbjit said. "She could follow adult films like The Martian... We’d be in a supermarket and she’d strike up a conversation at the till, asking people about their kids."
As per Mensa authorities, Dayaal Kaur has intelligence that ranks at 99.9th percentile for her age. She is also in the 0.01 percent of the five percent UK population that finds admission in Mensa.
