Dausa Gangrape Case: 10 Things You Should Know

Two men at a village in Dausa district allegedly gang-raped and murdered a 35-year-old married woman on 26 April. Here's everything you should know about Dausa Gangrape Case

1. The woman's body was found in a well under the Bassi police station area of Jaipur district on 26th April.
2. One of the suspects has already been arrested, as per a report.
3. The woman was on her way to her parents' house in Dausa when the incident took place.
4. She was travelling in a bus.
5. She reached the bus stand of her village in Dausa and was walking to their place when the accused offered her a lift in their vehicle.
6. In place of taking her to the village, they took her to a forest area and allegedly gang-raped her.
7. After the gang-rape, they murdered the woman and threw her body in the well.
8. Her prolonged absence worried her parents. They registered a missing complaint with Ramgarh Pachawara police station of Dausa.
9. Police found the body on 25th April.
10. A postmortem was conducted after which the body was handed over to the family members. It has been established that the accused was not known to the woman.

Other cases of rape in Dausa district

Three persons, including a Congress MLA’s son, were booked for gang-raping a minor girl in Rajasthan last month. The case was registered with Mandwar Police in the Dausa district. As per reports, the incident allegedly happened in 2021 but was reported recently based on which a complaint was filed on March 25.

The girl’s family had alleged that the minor was raped by the three accused including MLA’s son in a hotel room. They had also recorded the heinous crime. The family also alleged that the girl was being threatened by them and that the accused tried to extort money from her.
