Dalit woman murdered: A 30-year-old was strangulated to death by her extra-marital partner as her 10-year-old son ran around to save his mother after hearing her cries for help. The suspect is eluding his arrest after a case was filed against him.
The incident was reported from Rauke Kalan village in the Moga district. The accused was reported to be a resident of the same village who is eluding arrest.

The victim, identified as Karamjit Kaur was allegedly in an extra-marital relationship with the accused who was identified as Sewak Singh. The husband of the woman Balvir Singh reported that his wife along with his son went to see a doctor to get some medicines when she was abducted by the accused to his farm in a makeshift room.
The accused locked the room after taking the woman inside and asked the child to wait outside the room. After some time, the child heard the cries of his mother asking for help following which he ran towards his home to inform his father about the commotion. However, when he reached the location with his father, they could not find her anymore.
Later, the corpse of the woman was discovered from the bushes on the canal at Badhni Kalan. The local police took immediate actions and took the body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination at the district hospital.

Although the preliminary findings suggest that the woman was strangulated, the Police officials said on Friday that the exact cause will be ascertained only after getting the post-mortem examination report.
The SHO of Badhni Kalan police station Karamjit Singh reported that a case has been filed under section 302 of the Indian Penal code against the accused and investigations are on to nab him.
