Two Dalit minor girls were stripped naked by their teachers in a government school in Hapur. Due to the requirement that their professors give their uniforms to other female pupils and email the officers images, these girls remained naked for around an hour, as per reports.

The minors are in class 4 and they are eight and nine years old. Both of the minors' teachers, Sunita and Vandana, stripped them of their clothing while they were in class on July 11. Both minors were reportedly without even their underwear at the time. Both girls received their clothing back after an hour of being completely naked. As per reports, the teachers threatened to remove the name from the school if the family members learned about this.

According to reports, the teachers' exercise was a part of a hoax in which they were required to email officers images proving that every girl student at their school has a government uniform and that every student attends class wearing one. When the said minors returned home and told their family members about their ordeal, the family members protested at the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA). Both teachers have been put on leave by BSA, as per reports.

The suspended teachers allegedly organised a panchayat meeting in the village and exerted pressure on the families of the girls, through some powerful village members, to drop their complaint, according to Shoshit Kranti Dal President Ravikant, quoted in the Hindustan Times. However, Hapur ASP Sarvesh Mishra claimed that the police were unaware of such a panchayat. He stated that the situation is being looked into, adding, “FIR has not been registered yet but it will be registered soon."

According to Ravikant, a  few girls who were not wearing uniforms were included in the student picture shoot that the school had planned. Thus, the two accused teachers requested that the Dalit sisters lend other girls their outfits for the picture shoot. When both of the girls objected to the concept of taking off their uniforms, the teachers allegedly thrashed them and threatened to strike their names off the school register. Ravikant alleged that the uniforms were taken away from both girls after the photo shoot.
