COVID-19: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan And Daughter Aaradhya Hospitalised

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya have been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after complaining of difficulty in breathing. The 46-year-old actress and daughter had tested positive and are now undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in the same hospital where her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek have been admitted as well for the same on July 11.

"Both Aishwarya and Aaradhya were admitted to Nananvati hospital today. They are fine," a source told PTI.  On Friday, July 17, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were transferred to hospital after complaining of "breathlessness", Times of India has reported.

According to reports, both the mother and daughter were in self-isolation at the Bachchan residence Jalsa, which was sealed by the Brihanmumbai Corporation (BMC). Aishwarya's mother-in-law, actress and politician Jaya Bachchan had tested negative for the virus. She remains in isolation at home.

 Last weekend, Abhishek took to his Twitter to announce that he along with his father, wife and daughter had tested positive for the coronavirus, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you," wrote Abhishek in his original tweet.

In another tweet he wrote, " Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers."

Please follow all rules." Amitabh Bachchan's grandchildren Agastya and Navya Naveli Nanda and daughter Shweta Nanda have reportedly tested negative. India's COVID-19 count crossed one million mark on July 18.
