Courteney Cox, renowned for playing the role of Monica Geller on FRIENDS, has kindly given fans a Thanksgiving present by recreating an iconic look from the evergreen 90s sitcom. In the fifth season episode eight, titled, The One With All The Thanksgivings, Monica dons, literally, a Thanksgiving turkey with glasses on her head - a scene that continues to be eulogised on the internet through GIFs and memes. Sick of being bombarded with GIFs of the turkey-on-the-head moment every year as Thanksgiving rolls around, Cox finally decided to once and for all settle the matter by recreating her classic turkey shimmy.
Delivering a roller-coaster range of emotions, through a video shared on her Instagram, the 56-year-old says she's going to "snap" if she sees another GIF "with a turkey on my head dancing like a f**king fool... So anyhow, since I’m the symbol of Thanksgiving, here you go, hope it makes you happy." And then she breaks into dance.
Reactions to her recreation of the iconic scene from the show are, expectedly, buzzing with euphoria. Cox's video has recieved over 1 million views and a spate of delighted comments. Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, wrote in the comments section, "You DID THAT!!" Reese Witherspoon, who has made guest appearances on the sitcom, meanwhile wrote, "Love you sister !"
