Ben And Jessa Seewald Expecting Fourth Child After Pregnancy Loss

Jessa Seewald, star of reality show Counting On, is expecting her fourth child with husband Ben Seewald, an announcement said Thursday. The couple, after suffering "the heartbreaking loss of a baby last year," is now overjoyed to be welcoming whom they are calling their "rainbow baby" into the family.

In a statement, the couple said, "We’re overjoyed to share that another little Seewald is on the way... The kids are delighted, and we can hardly wait to welcome this little one into our arms this summer."

Ben and Jessa Seewald are parents to three children together - two sons and a daughter.

The Seewalds in their video statement also mentioned that both mother and child were doing well and the pregnancy was going smoothly. Last year she had suffered a miscarriage.

Talking about the arrival of her new baby, Seewald took to Instagram to share a sonogram picture, saying, "We’re looking forward to summertime, and here’s our #1 reason! Thank you, God, for this precious gift! #RainbowBaby 🌈"

Jessa and Ben Seewald are part of the Duggar family upon whom the TLC reality shows 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On are premised. The family shows have run for long periods and are known for their religious Baptist content and dialogue.

The family was embroiled in controversy when one of the sons, Josh, was reportedly accused of molesting five women, which led to the ultimate cancellation of 19 Kids in 2015. Counting On later emerged as a spinoff the same year.

Jessa Seewald is the daughter of James and Michelle Duggar, the heads of family who have a total of 19 children and 20 grandchildren.
