On March 8, marking the occasion of International Women's Day, constable Meenakshi Verma took over the seat of Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra for a day.

It is reported that Verma, from her one-day HM seat in Mishra's office, addressed people's problems and partook in office duties the role demanded.
Celebrating Constable Meenakshi Verma And Other Women
As per reports, Verma is stationed at Mishra's office residence under security. Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister, ADGP Ashok Awasthi was shocked to see a woman instead of Mishra at his seat when he visited. When it was later revealed to him she would be handling the day, he undertook the instructions she gave out to him.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Claiming he was honoured to work towards the road to women empowerment, he tweeted, “Saluting our indomitable #NariShakti on International Women’s Day! India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Government’s honour to be getting the opportunity to work towards furthering women empowerment across a wide range of sectors.”
