As per the post, the woman is a regular passenger on a bus, which has two conductors. One gave tickets and the other, upon recognising her, started a casual conversation.

Was the behaviour creepy?

The 24-year-old woman expressed, "Earlier the conversation was normal ice-breaking talks about pleasantries. However, over time, he started touching her arms and asking what she was watching on her phone. One day, he even asked her phone number. When she denied it, he blocked her path when the bus arrived at the stop."

Describing the incident, the woman said, "So today when he came to say hi I just nodded and turned my head, however when my stop came he was blocking the way for me to get out of the seat (I was sitting near the window) and the lady sitting next to me had to push him.

So her query is "Is the bus conductor being creepy or just friendly?"

The earlier interactions

The 24-year-old woman from Kochi said, "Once he realised that I was a regular would come and say hi. Initially, I thought he was being friendly so I would say hi too. After sometime, he started asking more questions like have you had tea and breakfast and I thought to myself that these are harmless questions."

She further added, "This then progressed to him searching me out (it was pretty obvious) to speak to me every morning. This then went on to him to him poking me to get my attention or to wake me up from sleep just to ask Aree you sleeping?”. He would randomly poke me on my hand and then ask what am I doing with my phone and who am I speaking to."

The woman concluded by saying, "In whatever interaction he has had with me. I have been polite and mostly replied in one word or so. Also he’s not a young man. He is for sure in his late forties or early fifties."

One of the users said, "The starting didn't seem creepy but towards the end of what you described, it surely is. If he blocked your way and someone else had to push him out, that's suspicious af. Stay safe mam."

Another user who also considered the conductor wrong said, "Some middle-aged men start conversations like this and progress to do more. So, first thing, I thought it was my fault for smiling at them or replying to their hai's. It's not! He is definitely onto something else and slowly trying to reach there so that nobody will have any suspicions. So, tell him straight up the next time he pokes at your hand or let him know by actions that you won't entertain this anymore."

"Creepy for sure" said another adding "You can try indicating this to the other conductor and see how it impacts. If that's not effective you may have to raise it further upwards. Show strength. Don't give an appearance of weakness. These people only target the weak."
