Tanmay Bhat's insensitive tweets were brought to light on the microblogging site Reddit, with a caption, "TANMAY BHAT'S DISGUSTING TAKE ON RAPE." On the subreddit r/InstaCelebGossip, the user attached screenshots of the celebrity comedian's tweets dating back as far as 2012 and 2016.

This is not the first time that Bhat's sexual misconduct has been exposed. In 2018, during the #MeToo movement, the then-CEO of the creative agency All India Bakchod was accused of concealing sexual harassment complaints against an employee, Utsav Chakraborty.
