Coimbatore 19-Year-Old Woman Dies By Suicide: A nineteen-year-old Coimbatore girl reportedly died by suicide on June 12 after an acquaintance blackmailed her of morphing her intimate pictures. The accused as well as his mother have been arrested by the police in connection with the death.
The accused, identified as Kesava Kumar, used to meet the teenage girl while travelling on a bus. During their meeting, they often took selfies together, the police reported.

According to the aforementioned report by India Today, Kumar allegedly started asking for money from the teen, stating that he would morph her photographs and release them on social media if she refused to pay him.
It was further reported that the deceased had already paid him over a sum of Rs 35, 000. However, Kumar was not content and started demanding more money. When the teenager refused, he threatened.
Woman Kills Self Over Morphed Photos
After investigation, the police found out that Kumar had previously threatened other young students too.
The 19-year-old's parents filed a complaint at the Singanallur police station against Kumar, following the death. The police soon arrested Kumar, based on their investigation, and also booked his mother, who was fully aware of her son's actions.
The girl's family stated that they were aware of the situation from before and informed the Police about the same but no action was taken. The deceased allegedly consumed poison.
UP Man Shares Girlfriend's Intimate Photos, Arrested
Earlier this month, a youth from Uttar Pradesh was arrested by the police for sharing his girlfriend's intimate photos and videos on social media platforms without her consent.
The 25-year-old man threatened the woman that he will morph her photos after a fight. Following which she lodged a complaint against him to the police.
A case was filed against him under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act.
