Chris Cuomo sexual harassment allegations have surfaced a month after his older brother, former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, stepped down from his role following similar charges. Presently an anchor for CNN, the junior Cuomo was accused Friday by his former boss at ABC News, who said he groped her in 2005.
Shelley Ross, in an op-ed for The New York Times, wrote Cuomo "sexually harassed
"No you can’t," she responded.
Ross at the time was the executive producer for ABC's Primetime Live and was married. She claims her husband was present with her at the time of the harassment incident that occurred at an Upper West Side bar.

The same day, Ross received an email from Cuomo wherein he apologised to her and her "very good and noble husband." He said he was ashamed of his conduct, but Ross writes she saw the apology as "legal and moral coverage" to escape accountability.
The NYT piece includes a statement from Cuomo on the episode with Ross, wherein he says their "interaction was not sexual in nature" and that he "apologised to her then" and "meant it."
Last month, his brother resigned amid a highly-publicised harassment scandal with accusations against him of misconduct against at least 11 women, which began surfacing last year in December. An investigative report into the matter was published August, laying out allegations against Andrew Cuomo. A call for his resignation from US President Joe Biden followed.
