Further Details

As part of his new efforts to enhance the state's law and order situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held discussions with approximately 2,700 Uttar Pradesh Police personnel, including those serving as Station House Officers (SHOs) in 1,535 police stations across the state. He assessed their performance based on rankings assigned by the state home department to various zones and regions.

During the review of the law and order situation in the state, the Chief Minister emphasized that female Station House Officers should be provided with a team of qualified and diligent police personnel. He instructed all Superintendents of Police and Police Commissioners to promptly implement this directive.

Furthermore, he announced the launch of a new phase of 'Mission Shakti' in the state at the beginning of 'Shardiya Navratri' (Dussehra).

The state government has also decided to empower women in each village by appointing a woman as 'Shakti Didi' of the village. Under this initiative, two women police personnel, in collaboration with ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, BC Sakhis, and Rozgar Sevaks, will engage with women in a gram panchayat once a week. Their aim is to raise awareness about women's rights and the safety measures implemented by the state government.

Additionally, eligible women will be enrolled in public welfare schemes such as pensions, 'Kanya Sumangala,' and 'Matritva Vandana Yojana,' as per the Chief Minister's instructions.

He also directed officials to complete the 'Safe City' initiatives in 17 municipal corporations, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, by October 14.

CM Adityanath also emphasized the deployment of skilled police personnel in critical departments like the Government Railway Police and border police stations.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister instructed the police station charge to take measures against individuals engaged in bike stunts, acts of intimidation, and vehicles displaying caste symbols.
