Class 5 student writes to CJI, thanking him for his notable work concerning COVID-19 management. "I understood your honourable court has initiated effective steps in bringing down Covid-19" the letter read which got a reply from the CJI.
From giving directives to the central government regarding COVID-19 management to calling out social evils all through the pandemic, Chief Justice of India NV Ramana has appeared in the headlines. His decisions are also credited by many in the country for his women-centric judgements. However, among all his admirers, a class five student marked her name by not only writing a letter to him but also, getting a reply.
According to news agency PTI, the letter read, "I was much worried about the deaths in Delhi and other parts of the country due to Corona." Lidwina Joseph, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Thrissur wrote that she gained knowledge about the courts' effective interventions at the sufferings and death of ordinary people in the fight against Covid-19.
"I am happy and feel proud your honourable court has moved orders for supply of oxygen and saved many lives. I understood your honourable court has initiated effective steps in bringing down Covid-19 and the death rate in our country, especially in Delhi. I thank you your Honour for this. Now I feel very proud and happy."
Ramana wrote back to Joseph, acknowledging her "beautiful letter along with a heart-warming illustration of the Judge at work".
Class 5 Student Writes To CJI, Gets A Reply
The reply read, "My dear Lidwina, I have received your beautiful letter along with a heart-warming illustration of the Judge at work." He added that he was really impressed by Joseph's way of tracking happenings in the country and being concerned over the well being of people in the wake of the pandemic.
Further presenting his best wishes to the minor, he wrote, “I am sure you will grow up into an alert, informed and responsible citizen who will contribute immensely towards the nation-building. With best wishes and blessings for your all-around success".
