Actor Chris Noth who played Big in the popular series Sex And The City has been accused of sexually assaulting two women. These are reportedly two separate encounters that took place in 2004 and 2015. The actor has denied the claims of assault and said the encounters were consensual.
The women’s identities have been withheld by The Hollywood Reporter. The publication has used pseudonyms for the two, Zoe 40, and Lily 31, presently.
Noth, who is 67 years old now starred in Sex and the City and appeared briefly in its newly released sequel, And Just Like That...
Noth has issued a statement saying, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross.”
Further, he questioned the timings of the accusation saying “It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."
The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the story quoted Lily who is a journalist saying, "seeing that he was reprising his role in Sex and the City set off something in me”.

The other woman identified as Zoe was 22 at the time of the alleged incident. She moved to Los Angeles to work in an entry-level job for a high-profile firm. Noth among many other celebrities was their client. “He would walk by my desk and flirt with me. He somehow got my number from the directory and was leaving messages on my work phone. My boss was like, ‘Mr. Big’s leaving messages on your voicemail,'” she says.
Sex and the City aired from 1998 to 2004 and was a hit series that later added to movies to the franchise. Earlier this year, HBO announced plans to reboot the show, which premiered on December 9.
