Support Pours In For Pregnant Meghana Raj After Chiranjeevi Sarja's Demise

Southern actor Meghana Raj, who lost her husband Chiranjeevi Sarja on Sunday, is reportedly pregnant with her first child. 39-year-old Sarja died after suffering from a heart attack. The news of her expecting her first child has moved many on social media.

Veteran actress Sumalatha Ambareesh, who is also a Member of Parliament has revealed in a social media post that the couple had sought her blessings and had shared their excitement regarding the pregnancy, reports TOI.

"How does one condole a young girl, who was a bride hardly two years ago & who will be a mom in a few months ...who has lost a husband who is not even forty...who was healthy, fit and full of life ..how will you explain this to a baby who will open his eyes one day to never see his father ?" she wrote.

Chiranjeevi Sarja

Chiranjeevi Sarja was an Indian movie actor who had worked in many Kannada. He started with the 2009 film Vayuputra for which he won the Revolutionary Film Award for Best Debut (Male). Sarja appeared in 22 films in over 11 years. Chiranjeevi has starred in films such as Samhaara, Aadyaa, Khaki, Aake, Amma I Love You, Prema Baraha, Seizer, and Varadhanayaka among others. Shivarjuna, which released in the month of March this year, turned out to be his last appearance on the silver screen before his death.

Dr. Govindaiah Yatheesh, Unit Head, Apollo Specialty Hospital, Jayanagar, told Deccan Herald that Sarja was talking to his father at 1.10 pm on Sunday, when he began sweating and collapsed. "It is around the same time they left the house. At 2.20 pm he reached Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar but had died on the way. The cause of death seems cardiac. But the family has not requested an autopsy. We have handed over the body to the police." His throat swab samples were also taken and sent for COVID-19 testing. Especially since he experienced respiratory problems on Saturday.

In an article, Times of India has reported that Chiranjeevi 's wife, Meghana, is pregnant with their first child and is in her second month of pregnancy. The couple was very enthusiastic about the expansion of the family.
