The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has acquired a laptop and a pendrive from BJP Leader DSP Rathore when it questioned him for 12 hours on Sunday. The SIT questioned Rathore in the matter of the extortion case filed by former BJP leader and sexual crime accused, Chinmayanand against the law student and three others. The objects handed over to the SIT allegedly contain video evidence of the sexual assault.
The SIT had earlier summoned Rathore on Friday and then again on Saturday night. Rathore is the chairman of the district cooperative bank. He was in Dausa, Rajasthan when the Delhi police found the 23-year-old student near Mehandipur Balaji Temple on August 30. She had gone missing on August 24.

In her complaint, she had claimed that a certain Ajit Singh had taken the pendrive from her which contained the main video proof of sexual exploitation that allegedly Chinmayanand subjected her to.
“I was trying to support the administration in a positive way, but it seems that the SIT had a certain misunderstanding about some facts. I had gone to Dausa on the request of a few senior cops to provide support in the recovery of the missing woman,” said Rathore, who is the younger brother of BJP state vice-president JPS Rathore to media.
Rathore said that in Rajasthan, he was accompanied by another BJP leader, Ajit Singh, who is the brother-in-law of Vikram, one of the accused in the extortion case.
The SIT also summoned DP Singh, former MLA from Dadraul constituency and the team also visited the district jail to meet the accused lodged there to verify a few facts.
Apart from the laptop and the pen drive, it has also recovered the law student's handbag from a drain near Chinmayanand's ashram in Shahjahanpur. They are also rigorously looking for the spy camera-fitted spectacles which were used by the law student to shoot the video proofs of the alleged sexual assault by Chinmayanand. It also interrogated the survivor's parents in a comprehensive manner on Friday after which it deployed labourer to search the drain for the objects.
"We were asked to support the SIT who informed us that they were searching for the bag and the spectacles in the drain just opposite UCO Bank." The SIT is aggressively investigating this case as they want to file a charge sheet before hearing of the law student's bail plea on November 6.

“We cannot share the details about the person who provided us with information about the recovered items. We are yet to find the spy camera-fitted spectacles, which is a piece of important evidence in this case,” a senior police officer said, Free Press Journal reported.
On August 23, she posted a video on Facebook in which she alleged that a holy man has sexually assaulted her during her time in college. A day later she went missing but was found out by the Delhi Police in a few days. She hadn't taken the name of Chinmayanand in the video but called him out openly once she came back.
