In the presentation, the woman accused her boyfriend, identified by his surname Shi, of engaging in sexual relationships with hundreds of women, including sex workers, over the span of a year. Shi is a management trainee at China Merchants Bank in Shenzhen. The woman started dating Shi in October 2023, initially seeing him as a "gentleman." However, her perception shattered in June 2024 when she discovered sexually explicit messages between him and multiple women on chat apps.

The PowerPoint detailed Shi’s alleged visits to sex workers, disclosing that he had paid between 2,500 and 5,000 yuan (US$350 and US$700) for their services on at least nine occasions from March to August. It also showed screenshots of romantic conversations with about 300 women he met on dating apps, with some messages labelled using trade settlement terms like T0 and T1. Photographs of his encounters were also included.

After confronting Shi in June, the woman claimed he begged for forgiveness, promising to never cheat again. "He kneeled before me, pleading not to tell anyone," she said. Despite forgiving him to avoid hurting his parents, she eventually decided to seek revenge when she discovered he had continued cheating in September.

Shi, a recent graduate from Xiamen University's School of Economics, was part of a leadership program at China Merchants Bank, known for offering promising career prospects. On September 19, China Merchants Bank announced that it had terminated Shi’s employment and expelled him from the Chinese Communist Party after an internal investigation, according to the Securities Times.

The Chinese woman also stated that she plans to report Shi’s involvement with sex workers, which is illegal in China, to the police and relevant authorities.

However, Liao Hua, a lawyer from Taihetai Law Firm, cautioned that by posting unverified details about Shi online, the woman might have infringed upon his privacy. The case has sparked widespread debate online, focusing on Shi's infidelity and the woman's decision to seek revenge.
