Chhattisgarh Woman Stabbed 51 Times By A Man For Not Speaking To Him

 The police informed the media today about the death of a 20-year-old woman from Chhattisgarh who was stabbed by a man 51 times on December 24, 2022. Reportedly the two knew each other for a while and the woman refused to speak to him which led to this.

More often than not incidents of murder of women get reported when the reasons are rejection, refusal or avoidance. It is unfortunate how most men expect the women they desire to only comply with their demands and never have a mind of their own. Consent and boundaries of respect are mostly never present in the equation. Similarly here in another case, the brutal murder of a young woman happened because the accused couldn't accept her will to not speak to him, according to the reports.

The victim was reportedly alone at home when the accused came in to attack her. Her face was covered by a pillow while he stabbed her to stop her screams from reaching other people. The reports also said that according to the post-mortem reports the woman tried to stop him thus she had injuries on her hands.

The incident happened in Chhattisgarh's Korba district, the victim lived in the Pump House colony of South Eastern Coalfields Limited. On Saturday, December 24, the victim was alone when her brother returned home he found her lying in a pool of blood while her face was still covered by the pillow. He informed the rest of the family and the police immediately, according to the reports.

When the victim was taken to the hospital, the authorities declared that she was brought dead. The post-mortem reports revealed the number of times she was stabbed which is shockingly 51 and the areas of injury were the chest, neck, face and back of the woman. The police started investigating the matter including Superintendent of Police Vishwa Deepak Tripathi and city Kotwali in-charge inspector Roopak Sharma. The reports suggest that the police found pieces of evidence of the accused which consist of an air ticket from Ahmedabad to Raipur with the name Shahbaz Khan, a bus ticket for the route Raipur to Bilaspur and a shirt along with some other items. The murder weapon is yet to be confirmed according to some reports while another report suggests that it could be a screwdriver.

The victim is said to know the accused long back when the latter used to work as a helper for a private bus. He moved to Gujarat for work and they stayed in touch for a while until she stopped talking to him. The reports also said that he had threatened her family earlier. The investigation is underway.
