Chhattisgarh Minor Raped: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped and smashed to death with stones along with her father and a four-year-old family member, near the Garh Uproda village in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district.
The incident took place on January 29, 2021 but came to light on Tuesday, after the son of the deceased man lodged a missing report at the Lemru police station. Following which the Korba Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena informed that the accused had been arrested. Chhattisgarh Minor Raped
Chhattisgarh Minor Raped: Here’s what we know about the case-
- The girl’s father, a resident of Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh worked as a cattle grazer for over six months at the house of the prime accused of this case, identified as Manjhwar.
- On January 29, Manjhwar went to drop the man (girl’s father), his daughter, and granddaughter to their village on his motorcycle. However, Manjhwar stopped at Korai village where he consumed liquor, following which other accused also joined him.
- The accused of the incidents are identified as Santram Majhwar, 45, Abdul Jabbar, 29, Anil Kumar Sarthi, 20, Pardeshi Ram Panika, 35, Anand Ram Panika, 25, and Uamshankar Yadav, 21.
- The accused men took the three victims to a forest area surrounded by hills near Garh Uproda village, where prime accused Manjhwar and other men allegedly raped the teenage girl.
- Later, the accused men trashed the trio with stones and sticks, killed them, and dumped them in the forest.
- The cattle grazer’s son lodged a missing report at the Lemru police station on Tuesday, following which the police swung into action and arrested the accused after interrogation.
- The accused men revealed the crime spot, where they found the injured girl alive and two others dead when police reached.
- The injured girl was rushed to a local hospital but due to her injuries, she died before reaching the hospital.
- According to the police, The family belonged to Pahadi Korwa tribal community, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG).
- The accused have been booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 302 (murder), 376 (2)G (gangrape), and provisions of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the police informed.
