Chennai: Dental Student Held For Placing Spy Camera In Woman's Room

In a shocking incident, a Chennai-based dental student has been arrested for secretly filming a woman. He had placed a spy camera in the woman's house which the woman and her husband later discovered. Read on to learn more about the incident. 

As per reports, the woman had been living in a rented apartment for years with her husband. On January 30, the woman discovered the spy camera while cleaning the house. She noticed an uncanny red light coming from a device resembling a regular pen. The woman then informed her husband who was at work.

When he returned from work, he examined the pen-like device and discovered that it was a recording device. The couple tried to access the content of the device and were shocked to see non-consensual recordings of the woman while she was changing her clothes. 

The couple immediately complained to the police station. 

After investigating the matter, the police revealed that the spy camera was placed inside the room by a dental student named Ibrahim. He was also the son of the building owner. 

Ibrahim was immediately arrested. Further investigation into the case is underway. 

A similar case of a doctor stooping down to performing a lewd act

Just yesterday, a case of an Indian-American Doctor masturbating next to a minor was reported. The doctor allegedly masturbated beside a 14-year-old girl on a plane. He was under trial for three days in Boston Federal Court but was proven not guilty on Wednesday.

As per reports, the 33-year-old, Dr Sudipta Mohanty, is a primary care Physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In May 2022, he was aboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu to Boston with his fiance. 

The 14-year-old girl who alleged that the doctor masturbated on the flight said that he covered himself in a blanket to the neck. She also said that she saw his legs bouncing up and down. This disgusted her so much that she moved to an empty seat nearby. As soon as she landed in Boston, she told everything about the lewd act to her grandparents. Her grandparents then filed a Police complaint. 

What did the doctor claim?

The doctor on the other hand tried to prove himself not guilty. He said that he was flying with his fiance who was sitting next to him. "My fiance was sitting next to me on that flight, and neither of us can understand why this happened to us," he said in a written statement. 

He further added, "I have dedicated my life to caring for others as a physician, and it has been heartbreaking to step away while I dealt with these false accusations." 

Does education mean nothing?
