One of the most viral dogs on the Internet, Cheems Balltze, famous for doge memes died at the age of 12 undergoing his surgery for cancer. The owner of the dog shared the news on its Instagram handle.
12-year-old canine, a Shiba Inu breed dog named Balltze was adopted by a family in Hong Kong. Balltze first went viral in 2017 when his photograph of him overbiting his lips went viral worldwide. He got the name Cheems from Cheeseburger after his owners posted a picture on Instagram telling how much he loved cheeseburgers.

On Friday, Cheems, the Shiba Inu dog that inspired several doge memes that went viral on the internet worldwide died at the age of 12 while undergoing thoracentesis surgery for his pancreatric cancer that he has been battling for the past few months.
The whole internet is saddened by the death of their favourite dog as his owners shared a heartfelt Instagram post announcing Balltze's demise as they captioned the post "Ball Ball fell asleep on 18/08." They shared how they wanted to go for other possible treatments and arrange for chemotherapy saying "It is too late now" as he fell asleep undergoing his last thoracentesis surgery.
The post had some cute photographs of the late beloved Balltze while the owners of the dog also wrote for everyone grieving his death, "Don't be sad, please remember the joy Balltze brought to the world." The post also talked about how Balltze brought joy to many people in the pandemic and has brought owners and Balltze fans closer, but says "But now his mission has completed."
Internet users expressed their grief by creating tonnes of memes on the iconic doge while many users also commented under the post, "He is a legend of the Internet world, a meme founder and now, he is immortal. Rest in love sweet Ball Ball, You were and are loved by billions all over the world."
Another user wrote, "RIP buddy you brought a lot of people happiness." While another user added, "a true icon of the internet and that his death was a sad day for the entire Doge community."
