The Central Bureau of Investigation submitted a status report on Hathras gangrape and murder case before the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. CBI counsel Anurag Singh told the Bench that the probe is taking time as forensic reports in the case are awaited. The probe will be over by December 10.
As per a news report, on Monday, a team of forensic experts at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) completed a medical examination of the four accused ahead of polygraph and brain mapping tests. They were taken to Gandhinagar in Gujarat for the tests by CBI officials on Saturday.

Earlier, senior advocate S V Raju and additional advocate general V K Shahi filed an affidavit and pleading that the state government doesn't want to shift Hathras DM (District Magistrate), as he has handled the situation in a good manner, reported NDTV.
According to The Indian Express, the Bench of Justices Pankaj Mithal and Rajan Roy have scheduled next hearing in the matter on December 16.
Earlier in the months, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case had raised questions over the late-night cremation of the 19-year-old Dalit woman, questioning the arrangements made by UP police.

About the incident
A 19-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly gangraped by four upper-caste men in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh on September 14. She died at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on September 29 while undergoing treatment, two weeks after the incident.

The four accused – Sandeep, Ravi, Ramu, and Lavkush Sikarwar are from Boolagarhi village under Chandpa police station of Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. The woman had accused the four men of gangraping and attempting to strangulate her in her ‘dying declaration’.
