After storming into the Indonesia Open quarters, Saina Nehwal could not sustain her good run and failed to get the better of World No. 1, Spaniard Carolina Marin. Nehwal lost in straight sets 22-24 ,11-21 in a match that lasted 47-minutes on Friday.
London Olympic bronze medallist Saina has won the Indonesia title three times in the past but Marin, the All England and World Champion proved to be an opponent she couldn't get past. Eighth seed Saina lagged behind in the opening game 7-13, managed to fight back 16-14 and then 19-16, but did not manage to improve on that score.
